Title: Little problem with Window Borderless.
Post by: Truth on June 25, 2015, 04:57:59 PM
I just upgraded to the latest version, I had whatever the version is before this 2.5 (i think) is. When I try and play games in windowed fullscreen borderless, the games can't confine my mouse on the screen (dual monitors). If i close the mini monitor the game works like it suppose to and confines my mouse. Is there any setting that can fix this? I've google'd and searched, however I can't find anything. There is nothing that I can see in the settings. I might have to go to a previous version of it or drop it altogether.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

I had another user tell me this and when I worked with him on it we found that it wasnt cleanmem that was doing it, what would happen is when ever the game was minimized it would lose the mouse lock on the multiple screens. For both him and myself when we tested and confirmed this we found out that it was the video drivers that was causing it. In my case I am on an ATI card and one of the known issues of the drivers was the mouse screen lock, the beta drivers had the bug fixed in it.

What video card do you have and what version driver?

770 with latest (non-beta) nvidia drivers.

It only started yesterday when i updated cleanmem. If i close cleanmem it works.

I'll opt into the beta drivers, and test it.

EDIT: I've downloaded beta and still no luck.

Cleanmem still runs from the task scheduler so you can keep the mini monitor closed.

Try this as a test, close the mini monitor and then when in the game alt tab back to the desktop and then go back to the game, does the mouse stay locked?

The mini monitor doesnt make any calls to the mouse or anything, it does have an option to always stay on top, but that isnt on by default. You can also try testing the game with the mini monitor with the mini monitor running but go to settings and take the check off of show monitor, that will hide the desktop monitor but still have the tray icon running.

If cleanmem isn't open it works just fine. If it's open it will mess up.

I tried to disable the mini monitor, and close game/program restart still no luck. I've disabled every setting and, still no luck.

EDIT:
I've redownloaded 2.4.3 and it works just fine. I have mini monitor open and everything.

That is odd, the only change since 2.4.3 to 2.5 is that I removed the api calls for the magnetic snapping effect on the mini monitor and put in some checks to prevent infinite loops. Nothing else has changed, I have the current version running all the time on my system with 3 monitors and never have trouble with the mouse staying in the game. Of course mine was fixed with the ati beta drivers, you are on nvidia so not sure if they even had the same bug or not.

But other than those 2 changes the mini monitor is the same, no new api calls or anything like that. So I dont have an answer there, but I say just keep using 2.4.3 :-)
