Title: What does "pause advance monitor" means?
Post by: blazetama on July 24, 2014, 07:49:41 AM
First, Thanks a lot for creating this software.

Cleanmem is working great for me, except when i was playing game. Having cleanmem running make my game stutter and sometimes freeze. I tried to add the game to the exception list but its not working.

So i was exploring to find out how i can completely pause cleanmem and i found this  "pause advance monitor" option. Is this what im looking for?

Thanks for your help

Just close the mini monitor and then go to the task scheduler and disable cleanmem there. by default it runs every 15 min. CleanMem and the mini monitor are separate so just need to disable them both while you game.

I never had cleanmem cause a single hiccup when I game. What must be happening is there must be an exe you have running with a memory leak and when cleanmem asks windows to cleanup the unused memory it must be moving some of it to the page file, which runs on your hard drive and is slow as a snail. That would explain what you are seeing.

Thanks for the reply

So i dont need to pause the advance monitor first? Just close it and disable the scheduler?

One more question, i dont see cleanmem is on my startup program. Will it clean my memory automatically every time i turn on the computer although i dont open the cleanmem/monitor?
