Title: Using CleanMemory of individual processes
Post by: waveraider on January 10, 2014, 11:35:26 PM
Hi

I use Ninjatrader for automated trading and the program keeps building up the memory when it is running.  I have 16Gb RAM on my PC so i don't have performance issues with Windows but when Ninjatrader reaches 3gb is starts to slow down and eventually becomes unresponsive.

Would CleamMem be able to reset the memory used by Ninjatrader so that i don't have to restart the program?

Thank you

Stelios

Sounds like the program hasn't been designed/written too well. Yes, CM can reclaim memory that's no longer in use. I also know of one occasion where a program crashed when CM was run. But I never has any problems with the program.

The best thing is to simply test it on your system setup.

Install the free version of cleanmem and try it out :-)

The default is cleanmem will run every 15 min from the task scheduler and then close. So once it is installed you dont need to do anything and see if it keeps the memory under control for you.
