Title: screen captures with linux
Post by: caffein on June 19, 2013, 09:59:44 PM
Hi!!

I use Linux, so I cannot use your software. But I've captured the router screenshots I guessed you need. Can I send them to you? Where to/how?

Thanks!

#1 Go to http://www.pcwintech.com/file_upload.php

#2 When uploading be sure that you send it as a zip file (*.zip)

#3 Besides the screen shots in the zip file, I believe you, must also include at least:

Quote

#1 All of the HTML code of the web page(s).

#2 A valid e-mail Address that yours that Shane can reach you back at, if he needs to.

#3 The brand, model and firmware of the router.

#4 The default login credentials.

#4 By I believe, I do not know for sure since I do not work for this company. Shane (the person who wrote this program), will correct me if I am wrong.

The screen shots are used for the guides, I also need the html of the pages so I can right the script.

If your on linux none of my programs are going to work for you since they are all Windows programs, including my simple port forwarding program. So are you sending the screens to have a guide done or to have it added to the program? (I always do both, it just that since your on linux the program isnt going to work for you)

Hi guys,

I think I should explain myself with more details. I arrived to your page after checking if the port used for Nicotine (the Linux alternative to Soulseek) was opened or closed. Since it was closed, it told me I could check your site in order to fix it (the port forwarding guides). So I went, and tried some of the options that you posted, but none worked, or maybe I did it wrong, don't know. But since you didn't have one Motorola router there, I thought it would be useful to send you the screenshots. I didn't understand you needed a program to make it work, I thought the screenshots were enough.

Correct me if I'm wrong. From what I understood of your reply Shane, the screenshots would be useful, even if I cannot use the program? could/would you do a guide with them? Are they enough?

Let me know, so I can send them.
Regards,

Consuelo

#1 While I see at http://www.pcwintech.com/port-forwarding-guides there is no Motorola Routers/Modems listed, I saw

a) one at http://www.pcwintech.com/router-screenshots

b) and some at http://www.simpleportforwarding.com/supported-routers

#2 He has the screen shots for the Motorola Routers/Modems but has not made forwarding directions yet.

#3 If yours is not listed, then what is the model of your Motorola Router/Modem?

My screen capture programs is needed in order for me to add the router to my program, but I only need screens for guides, so screen shots will still help :-)
