Title: Cleanmem and task scheduler
Post by: shagger1 on December 29, 2012, 05:36:58 PM
Hi
I found out too use that thing-pretty slick but 2 questions:

1- I have it set for 3 munutes,is that OK?

2- instead of removing it each time how would I just disable it
till I need to use it again? (I only use it online)I use XP and I see
I can change it to run once,is that what I should set it to disable
it or should I do something else? I want to leave it in but turn it off?

Thanks
Rod

3 min is fine, I do 15 min some do 5 min. It depends how much you need it.

As for #2 why would you remove it? I just install it and forget about it, it doesnt hurt having it run on its schedule. Other wise you just right click on the schedule and disable it and reenable when you want

Hi Shane and happy new year!
I want to disable it just because I only use it online-if I right
click on it there is an option to end task but it is greyed out?
I just dont want it running all the time cause thats my choice<grin>
so How can I turn it off short of removing it-cant find any setting??
Rod
Oh and I forgot-my system has to be idle for 30 minutes for the
prefetch folder to rebuild itself........

Just right click on the task schedule rule and there should be a disable option.

Forgot your on xp, on newer Windows you have a disable. On XP you can only delete it or change the schedule itself.

Because it isnt running. End task is only if it is running. Cleanmem runs and closes in under 2 sec
