Title: Task Image is corrupt or has been tampered with
Post by: rogerbid on November 29, 2011, 09:12:31 PM
Hi Everyone,

When trying to find a solution to a problem with the Sleep/Hibernate mode in Windows 7, (a separate post concerns this problem) I have unearthed a problem with WindowsTask Scheduler.

When I go to Task Scheduler Library I get 2 popups that tell me:

1. "Task DispatchRecoveryTasks: The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with" and
2. "Task BackgroundConfigSurveyor: The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with"

Can someone please explain the consequences of these errors and how I should repair the problem?

Thanks very much,

Best wishes,

Roger

First time I have seen that error.

See if this fix will take care of you
