Welcome to the forums kesahey!

What you want is a router.  A router is specifically designed to allow multiple devices to share a single internet connection and it also acts as a physical firewall to help protect you against malicious people on the internet.  Even if you are only using 1 computer you should still be behind a router for the firewall aspects alone.

If you are using a DSL connection often times your internet company can lease you a modem with a built in router.

If you want to purchase one we can also help point you in the right direction.  You can get them for less than $50 since they've become so standard.
