Port Forwarding Issue
« on: October 17, 2009, 07:35:39 AM »
Hey Guys,

I keep running into an issue when I update the router. The router in question is a SMC8014W-G. An error keeps occurring with the tag of "Start and End port couldn't be the same for port range setting". If anybody knows how to troubleshoot this issue, the help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Can you take a screen shot of when you get the error? Seeing whats going on helps a ton.

Also you could try just uping the port range by 1.
Example, your trying to forward port 1000 so start & stop port are both 1000. so instead make the start port 1000 and the end port 1001. You get the idea, and see if you still get the error.

Shane, upping the port value worked like a charm. Thank you very much for the help and the great program!
