Alright, I was going to be a little suprised if you weren't  ;D

So lets move on to resolving the ping issue.  You might want to go into the network settings and either make sure the DNS settings are set to Automatic of even try resetting the network connections to factory default.  Mine is set for everything to be automatic so it wouldn't make any difference either way in my case.

I'll stay tuned.

Unfortunately I have no way of hooking up the xbox through a cable, it's many rooms away form the PC.
Are either your PC or your 360 (or both) connected wirelessly  ???  If they are then that's going to make a big difference.

Is there any way you can connect directly to the PC for troubleshooting?  If you can't then we'll work around that.

Yes, xbox is wireless, with an official adapter if that makes a difference.  There is no way I can get it to the PC.

I reset everything to factory defaults, and automatic, but no luck there.

Hey degamer, I just wanted to give some updates now that I'm home and have double checked some of my settings.

1st off...the ping command isn't getting me a response either  ??? I'm not really sure what is going on there but I'll look into it.

2nd...I'm having a really hard time getting 1 of my computers to share media.  It is a Vista Home Premium machine but the only real difference is it's the only computer running a firewall.  Are you sure you don't have any Firewalls running (Comodo, Online Armor, PC Tools, et..), because I want to make sure that isn't messing anything up.  If you have any firewall or any security software then you disable or uninstall it while we try to get this working.

3rd...I looked at the user guide for your Modem/Router and it looks like it has a UPnP (Universal Plug 'N Play) option.  The Xbox 360 is designed to work with that setting.  You might have more luck if you enable that.  Note that you might need to re-enable your torrent client rules though

What really isn't making sense is that you say that your media sharing on your XP machine is seeing the Xbox 360 but your Xbox 360 can't see your computer.  That is especially odd sense you can use Xbox Live for gaming without any issue.  I do have all that correct, don't I?

Sorry for the long Delay, been out of town +midterms.

Unfortunetly, I don't think this is a router issue anymore.  In a desperation move, I reset the router to factory default and that still din't fix the issue.

As for Media Sharing seeing the xbox, I tried to double check that by removing the xbox from the list, and now sharing will not pick up the xbox at all.

I was wondering where you went, lol.  I agree that I don't think it is a router issue and setting it to factory defaults was a good thing to do, because now we know if there was anything wrong with the router (settings wise) then that should be cleared up.

I was having trouble streaming to my 360 and what I ended up doing was making sure that I changed my security software to allow full trust of the Xbox 360.  I then restarted the computer and eventually (lets say 45 minutes) they were "talking".  You can also go into the Network Test area of the 360 and have it search for computers/devices which is a little different then just going to "Music Library".  I'm thinking though that this is a computer side issue if you are able to connect to Xbox Live without problems.

This could be firewall settings, network security settings (as was the case for my particular machine), or something similar...the point is look for any security software you might have and disable it till you can get sharing to work then when you re-enable it configure it if necessary.

Can you list any security software you have on computer?  Also make sure everything is up to date and that you don't have any malware.
