A little help needed in selecting ports to be forwarded...
« on: August 26, 2009, 02:27:36 PM »
hi using the software "simple port forwarding" i tried to forward ports for UTORRENT.
my prob is tat i don't know which port to add as "start" port and "end" port when i add it in custom tab as UTORRENT is not available in database tab.

in UTORRENT i've set it to use the port 20523.
i'm using "Utstarcom UT300R2U" modem

wat should i add as start and end port ..... plz help as soon as possible as i'm new to this..

Utorrent is in the program :-)
On the database tab is a special program list, utorrent is there and it will auto read utorrent settings and pull the port for you  ;D

the steps failed, which means it couldn't find the text boxes it was looking for. Can you take a screen shot of the program when it tries to update the router. Seeing what is going on will help a ton :-)

hhmm it says page not supported. The reason the port test failed is the router hasn't been updated yet. Im looking over the screen shots I have for your router and there is no port forwarding page! I double checked the screen shots I have and I cant find it, I had made the script from another data one router.

As you can see from the 015.png I made the script from that one, and you can see the virtual server page.
On your model 003.png there is no virtual server page! Your only option is to use DMZ.

Put your computer IP in dmz and enable it, then test your ports again and let me know. Looks like I should remove that model from the program!
