Port Forwarding-Need Help-Dlink WBR-1310
« on: August 07, 2009, 04:30:58 AM »
hi.

i had this great program on my old computer and it worked on the first try. now i have a new computer and it's giving me problems with port forwarding with the same router. here's the stats on my router:

D-link WBR-1310
Hardware Version B1
Firmware Version 2.02

i'm trying to forward ports for these programs:

TVersity Media Server
uTorrent

i have windows firewall as my firewall. i have Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009. i thought that had a firewall included in that program but i can't find the option to enable it. thought maybe that was the problem.

here's some things i noticed when following the steps on the guide that appears when you open "Simple Port Forwarding"

i get error messages when i try to enable or disable static ip's

when i update the router, all the steps before step 9 are successful and the steps 9-15 fail and say object not found. step 16 doesn't say fail or success. this for TVersity

when it checks utorrent all the steps before step 9 are successful too and the steps 9-16 fail and say object not found. note that step 16 this time fails for this program.

when i check port status both ports for those two programs fail.

hopefully someone can help me solve this problem. if you need any more info to help me let me know.

thanx in advance

-Michael

give this a read

I update it each time I find a fix for something. Also make sure to disable the web shield in your antivirus as well.
