ok so when you removed the username and password and turn off silent mode it should pop up asking for it when you update the router. Is it asking for the password for every page?

if so I will look over the script, some routers use frames and throw a fit if the frames are loaded as well.

ok I updated the script to include the frames, lets see if it likes this better.

Also just to make sure, see if you can log into your router with Firefox or IE, just want to make sure the username and password is working.

Update the database under the tools menu to get the new script.

Let me know how it goes.

ok reason why I ask is spf
« Reply #12 on: May 11, 2009, 12:17:09 PM »
ok reason why I ask is spf uses IE to load the router pages.
When logging in a cookie has to be stored by IE for the authentication. For some reason it seems the cookie isn't being saved.

also the way spf uses the username and password in the program is like this

http://admin:admin@192.168.0.1

it adds the username and password to the link. but if both the username and password are blank in the program then it doesn't pass it and send the link like normal

http://192.168.0.1

which is why we turn off silent mode so the webpage can ask for the username and password when it loads.

so lets check a few more things. verify that the username and password and blank in the program. Also instead of firefox login with IE and see if it goes smooth.

Then we may need to check the cookie settings in internet options in the control panel.

if you have msn or yahoo contact me with the contact page and we can get on chat so we can get this fixed faster.
