HELP: Simple Port Forwarding
« on: April 18, 2009, 04:40:32 AM »
Hi, I'm having trouble port forwarding with the "siple port forwarding". I've updated the router and ports, and have the v2.4.2 SPF. When I try to "update router" with the port "6112" (or any other), the following comes up:

Router: ZyXEL - P-2602HW-D1A (ZyXEL Firmware)
Loading Commands...
Number Of Port Forwards To Send To Router (1)
Running Commands...

(Current -  1/1)
Adding warcraft 2 (TCP/UDP) For Ports 6112-6112 To 10.0.0.3()

Running Script From Database For Selected Router
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 01. nav_first_only("")
(Successful) (http://:chaGidoqui@10.0.0.1/)
Step 02. set_password("LoginPassword")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 03. click_button_first_only("Login")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 04. set_frame_name("main")
Step 05. set_frame_number("3")
Step 06. nav("PortForwarding.html")
Finished Adding warcraft 2

-------------------DONE! (All Commands Finished)-------------------

NOTE: The picture of the Router: ZyXEL - P-2602HW-D1A (ZyXEL Firmware), dosn't look like mine (mine looks fx. like the Router: ZyXEL - P-2602R-D1A (ZyXEL Firmware)), but im sure that it's called ZyXEL - P-2602HW-D1A (ZyXEL Firmware).

Please help me, I'm rather lost :)

Thank you in advance, trends.

Looking
« Reply #1 on: April 18, 2009, 09:21:32 AM »
IM looking into right now. That script is the script for the view/remove ports button. Not for the update router button.

When I try my netgear it works fine when I load yours its pulling the wrong script, yet when I test it in design view it works. So something is going on.

Let me tear into it and find out what.
Also the router pics I simply Google and try to find, so if you have a link of the right picture that would be great!

Very odd. I tried having it do it again and now the right script is pulling. This is going to bug me LOL.

DO me a fav. restart your computer and try it again, let me know if you get the same script. Im going to try and fig out why it did this still.

Thanks, I fixed that

Thanks, I fixed that screenshot as well :-)

ok I have made a new exe I would like you to test.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/dismzd

Unzip it and replace the old exe. What I did was change 1 part of the code that loads the script. And I added a new view current scripts under the advanced menu.

Let me know if this works and I will make sure it is in the next new version.

I also just updated the router screen capture program so people can put in a link to a picture of their router. Hopefully this will make my life a little easier trying to find the right pictures!

I've now replaced the old .exe with the extracted one, but I still recieve the same respond when i try to "update router" ..

Router: ZyXEL - P-2602HW-D1A (ZyXEL Firmware)
Loading Commands...
Number Of Port Forwards To Send To Router (1)
Running Commands...

(Current -  1/1)
Adding test (TCP/UDP) For Ports 6113-6113 To 10.0.0.245()

Running Script From Database For Selected Router
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 01. nav_first_only("")
(Successful) (http://:chaGidoqui@10.0.0.1/)
Step 02. set_password("LoginPassword")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 03. click_button_first_only("Login")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 04. set_frame_name("main")
Step 05. set_frame_number("3")
Step 06. nav("PortForwarding.html")
Finished Adding test

-------------------DONE! (All Commands Finished)-------------------

NOTE: if we briefly look at step 1 - what it does, is basically the same as openning a browser and typing in the "http://:chaGidoqui@10.0.0.1/" to acces my router, right?

PROBLEM SOLVED!
« Reply #10 on: April 19, 2009, 03:04:34 AM »
hah, what a laugh.

The solution was simply embarrassing.
Instead of what the program sugests as the router-ip, I had to add an accesport after that. And all went smoothly afterwards:

Router: ZyXEL - P-2602HW-D1A (ZyXEL Firmware)
Loading Commands...
Number Of Port Forwards To Send To Router (1)
Running Commands...

(Current -  1/1)
Adding test (TCP/UDP) For Ports 6113-6113 To 10.0.0.245()

Running Script From Database For Selected Router
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 01. nav_first_only("")
(Successful) (http://:chaGidoqui@10.0.0.1:2033/)
Step 02. set_password("LoginPassword")
(Successful)
Step 03. click_button_first_only("Login")
(Successful)
Step 04. set_frame_name("main")
Step 05. set_frame_number("3")
Step 06. nav("PortForwarding.html")
(Successful) (http://:chaGidoqui@10.0.0.1:2033/PortForwarding.html)
Step 07. timeout("2000")
(Successful)
Step 08. check_if_name_exists("")
Step 09. timeout("2000")
(Successful)
Step 10. set_combobox_custom("PortFor_ServiceAdd,0,User define")
(Successful)
Step 11. timeout("5000")
(Successful)
Step 12. set_checkbox("PortRule_Active,0")
(Successful)
Step 13. set_name("PortRule_Name,0")
(Successful)
Step 14. set_start_port("PortRule_SPortStart,0")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 15. set_stop_port("PortRule_SPortEnd,0")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 16. set_start_port("PortRule_SPort,0")
(Successful)
Step 17. set_stop_port("PortRule_EPort,0")
(Successful)
Step 18. set_ip("PortRule_SrvAddr,0")
(Successful)
Step 19. set_start_port("PortRule_PortTrans_SPort,0")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 20. set_stop_port("PortRule_PortTrans_EPort,0")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 21. set_start_port("PortRule_DPortStart,0")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 22. set_stop_port("PortRule_DPortEnd,0")
(Failed - Object Not Found)
Step 23. click_button("sysSubmit")
(Successful)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Finished Adding test

Sorry for wasting your time ;)

I have one final question regarding my other pc:
when i installed the SPF and opened the program, it stuck on "loading routers". I've seen that someone else had the same issue, but can't see what you did to solve it.

- Thank you, Trends.

Glad it is working, still
« Reply #11 on: April 19, 2009, 10:22:34 AM »
Glad it is working, still doesn't explain why it was loading the wrong script, this is really going to bug me lol I like my work to be as god as possible. I will keep looking into it.

On the loading routers issue I haven't heard any feedback on people who got it workng. My program uses MS Jet 4.0 to read the database which is Part of windows since Windows 2000.

I do have a how to on how to repair or reinstall ms jet.

Whats the specs on the computer? OS version and service pack?

wondering...
« Reply #12 on: April 19, 2009, 11:30:12 AM »
Its a XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3 (not the newest btw).

I've tried to follow the "Help FAQ" and reinstall the "mdac" on the pc. And only 1 thing went wrong, which was that it couldnt find a specific file. But other than that, the instalation was succesfull - but it didnt solve the problem.

I'll explain my situation.. I've got 2 pc's connected on the same router. Now i port forward quite often - so this program saves me a lot of time, it's really great. But the thing is, that on my pc (lets call it pc 2 - which is the same pc as had the "router loading" problem) I can't port forward to it, no matter which port it is (well i can, but the port isn't open afterwards). On the other hand, i have my other pc (pc 1) which i can port foward to without any problems.

Info:

PC 1: Laptop - Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 - Static IP: 10.0.0.245

PC 2: Stationary - XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3 - Static IP: 10.0.0.222

Now i should be able to port forward the pc 2 (which has problems with SPF), using SPF from pc 1, just writing in pc 2's ip instead of pc 1's. BUT this dosn't work either.

Can't figure it out - I suspected it to be a firewall problem, but doublechecked, and there shouldn't be any porblems with it.

I hope I havn't confused you too much :)
And thanks Shane, your commitment is worth a million.

- Best regards, Oskar.

Sounds like a bigger problem
« Reply #13 on: April 19, 2009, 11:44:18 AM »
Sounds like a bigger problem with the xp system then we realize. MDAC is broken, ports cant get through. You are right, you can port forward from pc1 by changing the ip to that of pc2.

Use spf on pc2 and use the port tester, see if it works for the ports you opened for it.

Also try giving they a run and scan on your syste, I use it to check and clean my customers computers.
