Dlink dir-300 firmware tomi-con
« on: February 05, 2012, 08:16:25 PM »
Hello all,

I am currently having a couple of issues forwarding port 80 through two routers. The current setup is computer -> dlink-dir-300 -> speedstream 6520. The dlink has been added to the DMZ of the speedstream router and it successfully passes the update router checks and port 80 has been added as an exception to the windows firewall, however the port still does not pass the port test. My ISP is bigpond whom apprently do not block port 80.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Steve.

DMZ looks good. But you cant have the same port in 2 rules. So remove the 2nd rule.

Make sure DMZ is off in the D-link and post a screen shot of the results of my port tester program

Thanks for the quick reply. I've removed the 2nd rule and DMZ is off in the dlink router, however its still failing the test.

I tried another port site as well to double check, still receives the same results.

So far everything looks good and set correctly.

Do a test. Do a port forwarding rule to your computer, do port 1979 and let me know the results

That is strange port 1979 works fine. Maybe the ISP is blocking port 80 now?

Possible. A lot of ISP's do block 80 because they dont want people hosting websites. Silly I know.

Yeah it shouldn't matter though, should be able to work with that port number anyway.

Greatly appreciate the help though.
