2 things I see.

1. When doing the port test you need to close what ever software is using port 80. My port tester has to open the port for the test but as you say it says the port is already in use. So it will fail no matter what.

2. Some ambit modems are also routers as well. To check this, log into the D-Link and find its WAN or Internet IP. Does it match the IP on this page?

No not the IP on your computer, that is the 192.168.1.100 number. You need to log into the D-Link and find the wan status page, it should show what WAN IP it has. I need to know if that IP matches the IP on my website

Looks like it :-)

Ok good, your ambit is just a modem.

Now close what ever software your using that is using port 80. And try my port tester again

Lets do a test. Setup a port forwarding rule to port 1979.

Once done post a screen shot of the port forwarding page and the results of the port tester for 1979 and lets go from there

This test will shows me a few things and then I can see what needs to be done next.

You didnt do the port test for 1979 or post a screen shot of the port forwarding page with the new rule.

When you use my port tester it opens the port on your system and listens for a connection. Then my website sends a connection and if my program sees it then it is working  :cheesy:

Just remember when connecting to your self always use your local IP. (192.168.1.100) and when outside your home like I am you will use your internet IP

This is because a lot of routers dont like reverse nat.
http://www.pcwintech.com/test-for-reverse-nat

But it looks like your port forwarding is working.

Well thats good, but i still cant get on the internet if you say it should be working  what can i do or done?
The connection has timed out

The server at www.ronuk.org is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
