Simple Port Forwarding port error
« on: January 21, 2012, 11:17:49 AM »
Hey Shane.
About 1 year ago you helped me to make Simple Port Forwarding work.
Evrything was ok,but now the PC no longer works so im trying to make it work on my laptop.I updated the router and evrything is Succesful but the problem is that i no longer know what to type in the port square(XXXXX-XXXXX)...mine is 25565-65535...when i click save and error pops out saying"Port must be in range(1-65534),please input another number!".I type 25565-65534 and i click save. The next thing i see is:"The entry is existed already or its port is contained by another entry. Please input another entry."...i really dont know what to do and i dont know what to select in Common Service Port. Can you help me,please?

You can only port forward ports to one machine at a time. You current already have another rule with the same ports. So remove any old rules first

In your router.

In my program click the view/remove ports button and it will open the page for you.

Yes, like I said a port can only be forwarded to one machine at a time.

Just click edit on the rule and change the local IP to your laptops

No, you dont put in your internet IP, you put in your local ip

Your local IP is shown in my port tester and in the upper right of simple port forwarding.
