Dual wan routers, if you get the right one, will allow you to combine the speed of both (Load balancing).

Here is an example

WAN ports: Two (2) 10/100/1000 ––Mbps auto-sensing, Auto Uplink™ RJ-45 ports to connect to any broadband modem, such as DSL or cable
Load balancing or fail-over modes

Owwww. I'll take a good look meanwhile we decide what to do in the future.

I live in an island.
On Monday I begin to search a dual WAN optional router.

Meanwhile I am thinking to solve the problem

With my actual router

And solver other problem I have with my local area network with Stickies and Ditto programs.

I will inform you.

----- With my actual router

a) With my actual router i can come back to the initial situation. The modem cable connection through the WAN input. And reconfigure the TCP/IP configuration.

b) Then I will have two internet connections in the ASUS Pc. And recover my internet connection via wifi in the portatil ACER.

c) In the future I can distribute the signal from an exterior antenna and a bullet to the conceptronic router and make failover.

d) With the usb device antenna connection alfa 2 I can make failover in ASUS pc.

e) In the future, If I adquire the new router I can do Load-balancing.

------ About the other problem. I think is a fake in windows xp os. I have try almost everything. But I think is better open an independent post. I will do.

Best Regards

Other solution is :

Mount the usb device in the portatil with an external antenna and obtain a new signal with the first device I bought : alfa 1

So we have :

1) An usb dispositive alfa 2
2) an usb dispositive alfa 1,
and enough antennas for everyone (2 dBi, 5 dBi, 10 dBi, 18 dBi)

So we may decide :

a) Is it the balanced mode (load balanced) in coexistance with the failover option ?

Note : My actual router cost about 40 euros.
ProSafe VPN Firewall Dual WAN 6-port
FVS336G-200 In Stock

$279.99 -----------------------------
279.99 USD    =    220.400 EUR

In a possible the more expensive component is the bullet : about 80 euros.

An alfa 2 cost me about 40 euros and have the possibility to make failover.

the alfa 1 cost me about 30 euros and have no possibility to make failover. . Or I think so.

I have two external antennas (10 dBi (omnidirectional) and 18 dBi (directional) mounted in a tripod for scanning.
And two internal antennas : 2dBi and 3dBi
No counting the two antennas the router comes.

My initial idea was buy a new external antenna of about 12 dBi omnidirectional with the bullet in the composition.

That configuration cost me about 100 euros.
