« on: December 28, 2011, 01:17:21 PM »
Just bought myself an msi p67A-C45 b3 motherboard with an i7 processor and 650 watt power supply and it works good except from when i start the comp or restart it i´ll gett blue screen when windows is starting and it boot again and when i press start windows normaly i dont get a blue screen and can run the comp for how long i want.

might be bios upgrades which im doing right now and i know it could be multiple problems cause this but im not really sure of what exactly anyone got any suggestions?

First thing to do is test the memory.

On my system the memory I got required manually setting the timing in the bios to get them to work correctly.

What memory do you have in the system?

Do you know what timings the memory is suppose to run at? Should say on the sticker on them.

Every time you restart your computer your motherboard sets the timings. It is possible the timings are not being set right on the first boot.

Once we know the timings are right then we should run a memory test just to cover all the bases

In the motherboard you can set the timings of the memory like 9-9-9-24

Also looking at some Google results others have had memory timing problems with this board.

Have you updated to the latest bios?

Also looks like underclocking the memory can help

Try lowering your speed of the memory and see if it helps with the blue screens.

Also did you update to the newest bios?

For now just try lowering the speed for now.

Can you check the sticker on one of the memory chips and see what timing it has printed on it?
