OK try turning off the Windows firewall and try the port tester and we will start there :wink:

very peculiar. Your wizardry seems to have found a solution to my dilema. while before you suggested it, turning off windows firewall did diddely squat, now it makes both TCP and UDP work.


you clever clever thing you.


on a more serious note, I can't be computing without a firewall, so what's my next move?

Actually your still behind a firewall. A router is a hardware based firewall.

All the other ports on your system are closed to the internet. So your still safe :wink:
