Need some serious Help. 2wire 3800 HGV-B
« on: September 06, 2011, 11:55:02 AM »
I currently have a 2wire 3800 HGV-B that simply will not allow me to host warcraft III games. I've surfed over countless forums and port forwarded through my router firewall my computer firewall and every firewall i can think of and it simply will not work. Ive used many tools from this website like the WMI and windows firewall repair and it STILL doesn't work. I just dont know what the heck is going on

First thing we need to do is see if the rules are setup correctly.

Post a screen shot of the port forwarding page in the router. Also post a screen shot of the results from my port tester on your computer

Lets go from there

The port tester shows every port you wanted is open, so port forwarding is working

So if your not able to host your game then you need to make sure the firewall on your computer is letting the game through.

Also when you give your friends your IP to connect to the game you need to give them your internet IP on this page
http://www.pcwintech.com/myip and not your local IP

I made special rules through my windows firewall to allow the game ports to go through. Also to host the game its hosted over battle.net so i don't know how to direct my public IP to people over the internet

You need to make sure the game's exe itself is allowed through the firewall

How did you add the ports to the firewall?

I dont have warcraft 3 or I would try to connect to you. Do you have anyone who can try to connect to you?
