Hi Shane, hope you got some sleep and the wife isn't too angry!
1:50 pm here. Helped my 86 yr old mother with her shopping.

Ok. Ports I put in seem forwarded. 8080 is open, but port 80 doesn't seem to want to open.
I figure the port is used by the router. No porblem, the two software I want to use will work
on most orts, ...I guess.

So whats going on you ask .. well, when I run 'Filesharepro', I used my IP on port 9000.
When I type in  http://59.167.140.149:9000, like I used to, it sends me to my router page
in most cases, or, .. page cannot be found.  :undecided:

However, some headway has been made, no doubt about that. There's that problem, and
the fact that the software doesn't forward or change the router. If I infact forwarded the ports
correctly, then the software is no big deal I guess.

Well, thats about all that's happening at the moment Shane. I'll leave my Desktop on and check to
see if your on-line now and then.   Les.

9:30 pm for me. Got back from taking my wife to see cowboys & aliens. She is putting the kids to bed while I light up a cigar :-D

So I will be on for a while.

Now one thing we need to check is that your system isn't blocking the programs your using to host.
Your laptop will come into play for this test.

From the laptop try to connect to the stuff running on your computer that you want (Use the local IP and not internet IP)

Does it work on the laptop?
Then we need to make sure you have all the ports you need open.

Does it also fail on the laptop?
Then something on your system is blocking the programs

Got you Live ...Shane! Same thing happens on both computers, same ports open and same result.
The notebook is upstairs at the moment, so I'll go grab it .. won't be long...

Downstairs and Booted now, ... guess your lelping others at the same time.
I have trouble doing one thing at a time.  :undecided:

Sent a pic of the Port Test fro the Desktop.

Well, now my Desktop needs a fix, it asks me to insert an operating system disk!  :angry:Lasted over 5 years with the one install, not bad considering! However, I've still got the Notebook which is nearly new, hope that will do.  Les.    7:58 am

OK Shane, .... I edited a post.  :cheesy:
At the beach,.. I wouldn't try that stunt here at the moment,  in two months perhaps.
Well, I'm down to a Notebook now, the other machine's OS died on it's hinds.
So, the machine IP on this one is 192.168.1.133. Port 80, 8080, 9001 are Forwarded and Open.

I bought the New Version of WebcamXPpro but that does the same thing [page cannot be found].
Things work fine on [Local Host]. Don't know if anything else has to be set in the Router, or the
Comps not set up. Meanwhile I'll try to Get A Grip!

Hi Shane, well, Iopened ports 8080, 9001, and both open. I tried webcamXP on port 8080 and Page Cannot Be Found. I tried http://192.168.1.133, machines IP and works fine. I'm running this Upstairs on the WiFi.
192.168.1.133 is in the DMZ. Computer and Router Firewalls are Off.

If you need a direct connection I can take it downstairs. :artist:
