Bah! there is always hope :-)

Do you have another computer we can test with? I want to setup a rule to another computer and see if it works.
If it doesnt then we know the problem is in the router.
If it does work then we know the problem is your machine

Are you sure that you set up Norton correctly? I remember the firewall settings being a little difficult to find form the 2009 version.

I am not sure...the Norton 2011 is extremely difficult to fully understand with all of its functions! I tried to simply allow port 6112 on both Norton and Windows Firewall even if the firewall is turned off...so I do believe it must just be something with my system...The desktop I have has allowed me to host before...but it could also be this router considering you can't find Vizio setting for port forwarding anywhere...I may either have to try a different router or just buy a second desktop.

Okay, the best way to check with Norton is to turn off the software entirely. I know you said that you tried with the firewall off but I'm not sure if you meant Windows firewall, Norton's, or both. If you haven't tried this already, completely turn off Norton and then try again. If you can get it to work this way then we know that Norton is blocking the software. Then we just need to make sure to go in and set it up correctly.

Unfortunately I have tried turning all forms of Anti-Virus off and it still says the port is closed.

Your port forwarding rules look good. Thats why I wanted to try another system. But I dont want you to go buy one!!!

DO you have a friend with a laptop or anything that they can come over with?

All we want to do is setup a port forwarding rule to it so we can see if the problem is the router or your computer

I just tried opening the ports on my router for my Desktops Ip Adress and it still says the ports are not open :/ nny thing is though, sometimes it will fluctuate between being open for like 30 seconds and then the port will close again!

I am going to hook my Linksys one up again because I know it is easier to fix ports and such with that one. Since there is more guides for Linksys and none for Vizio, I assume Vizio is just an angry Router, so I will keep you posted my friends!

So the problem was in the router itself. I tried my Linksys and port forwarded and now I can host...So for future reference to anyone who reads this...Vizio sucks if you are trying to port forward something. I guess that is why not a single website has a guide on how to forward warcraft with a Vizio. Thank you Shane and Evan for being patient and helping!

Thanks for letting us know that the problem is with the router. I'd like to try and get it to work though, but I can't right now cause I'm leaving to spend time with the kids too.
