Port Forwarding on Huawei HG655b (Romtelecom Firmware)
« on: June 28, 2011, 02:49:58 PM »
Hello,

Greetings from Romania!

I am trying to set up port forwarding for two programs. The ports are 3784 and 16000. I am on Windows 7 Ultimate and the router is a Huawei HG655b (ADSL, Dynamic IP).

Before finding the Simple Port Forwarding software, I tried to do this manually. On other routers it was fairly easy, bun on this model I just can't do it. i have no idea what exactly am I missing.

Internet Explorer works all right, I've used the IE Repair software just to be sure. I've turned the router and W7 firewalls both on and off. I've closed my Antivirus.

When running 5 Update the Router this is what I get:

Router: Huawei - HG655b (Romtelecom Firmware)

I'm getting exactly the same error.
Other images that might help. First one during the Update Databases, the next two Current Script after update and last one with the error.

Thank you again for your help and quick reply!

Well crap lol

Do me a fav. On the log in screen for the router, right click on it and choose view source. Copy all that html code and save it to a text file and email it or attach it. I can see if your login button is different that way

May just need to turn off script errors in IE.

Also make sure silent mode is checked under the advanced menu in the program

Some routers use frames in the pages, and normally you can load the page outside the frame. Some routers however through a script error, so I made need to simply add the frames to the script to fix it.

Can you post a screen shot?

Those errors are the pages complaining about the frames.

Looks like I just need to add 2 commands to the script to handle the frames.

Shouldn't take me long

OK update the database and see how it goes.

I had the frame info int he script, but when I double checked I had it off by one number.

I had
set_frame_name("contentfrm")
set_frame_number("4")

When I double checked it should have been
set_frame_name("contentfrm")
set_frame_number("5")

See how this goes and let me know

I am going to need to get my hands on it to find out whats it is that needs to be set in the script.

2 ways we can do this.

1. Get on msn or yahoo chat with you, then I can connect to you and tear into it.
2. You can enable the remote admin feature, which will let me log into the router from here. Then I can fix the script and you can turn the remote admin off after.

Email me which you would like to do and I will get the script working. No point in going back & fourth when I can have it fixed in 10 min if I get my hands on it
