no i dont know how to disable the add ons

You may also need to get a hold of the DVR company and make sure their add on works with IE 9 as well.

Go to control panel, then internet options.
Click on the programs tab, then manage add ons.

There you can start disabling everything you don't need.

I rolled back to IE8 and disabled all addons. and i still cannot connect to the dvr plus I lost the sign in page for the dvr now it looks like this

You disabled the add on needed for the dvr :tongue:

First of all you guys can lock this thread. Now I can see the dvr from both in the network and over the internet. I screwed up the IE so bad that i still cannot access the dvr fronm IE but it is ok. I can use firefox with IE tab add-on and also IE tab in chromeplus works. I cannot thank you guys enough. When I started this I wasn't sure if i would be able to do it even with your help. I am a guy who had to search youtube to find out how to save screenshots when Shane wrote "send me the screenshot of this and that". But i did it now i can see the dvr. And you guys should be proud of yourselves. If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't be able to do something like this. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...
