Belkin N300 router add to the routers list please
« on: May 23, 2011, 06:37:55 AM »
I think I was able to do the screen capture on my belkin n300 router. (F9K1002). Could you please add this router to the simple port forwarding routers list. Thank you.

Ok. First of all thank you for adding the router to the routers list. I was able to update it and find the router and added the ports but it is still not working. I check the web site that Shane e-mailed and I found the problem(I think). It is problem #2 in your web site my router doesn't allow me to put the whole ip address it puts the first set of numbers and automatically adds the rest. I don't know how to fix that please help me...

Post 2 screen shots for me.
1. A screen shot of the main window of my program.
2. A screen shot of the port forwarding page in your router.

With these I can see if the port forwarding rule is setup correctly

1. The IP you have int he program isnt the right format. instead of 192.168.001.100 it should be 192.168.1.100, you don't use 0's in front of numbers.

2. Your local IP range is 192.168.2 not 192.168.1
Is your DVR hooked to the same router as you?

3. Log into the belkin. On the main screen it will show the WAN IP, do that IP match the IP on this page?

Ooops. I was looking at the wrong screen in the dvr. I was able to get this far. and I still wasn't able to do it.

1- I fixed the ip adrress format in the program.
2-I am sure the comp and the dvr are in the same router. DVR is connected with cable, computer connected wirelessly.
3. Networking part of my dvr reads as follows (I don't know if i can change these values)
HTTP port=80
Server port= 6036
IP address:192.168.002.004
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.000
Gateway:192.168.002.001
Preferred DNS Server:198.168.002.001
Alternate DNS Server:000.000.000.000
Networking Approach: DHCP
Status: Connected
DDNS: Unconnected
MAC: 00-18-AE-24-98-OC

And these are the new screenshots from my computer.

Thank you
Mike

Ok good. So far everything looks great.
IN the router go to the DMZ page. Make sure it is disabled. Let me know

OK, so far you have every thing done correctly.
It could be your ISP is blocking port 80.
No problem, and here is how we can tell.

Step 1. Log into your DVR. Change the http port from 80 to 8080
Step 2. Go to the port forwarding page in the router. Change the port forwarding rule from 80 to 8080

Let me know when you do and I will see if I can connect to you
