Port Forwarding Issues
« on: May 09, 2011, 03:51:28 PM »
Until recently, I didn't even know what port forwarding was. I started to make my own minecraft server, and used this program. I am using an AT-T 2wire router, and followed all the instructions. Then this happened. Please help!

Click view/remove ports in my program. When the window opens make it full screen and take a screen shot.
Post that screen shot and I should be able to see whats going on

Ok. I see it says about the password. I know it and have entered it several times. Is there something I am missing?

Don't worry about the password, you where already logged in, so the password page didn't come up.

Do me a fav, on the same screen, this time scroll to the bottom and take a screen shot. I want to see the save button

I am wondering if it is a simple timing problem. The program may be trying to click the save button before the page is done loading.

Try to update the router again and see if it works this time. If not I may need to just add a timeout before the save button

I tried it again, the same thing popped up. It still isn't working. I think what you said is maybe the problem, that's what I thought at first.

Ok give this a try, under the advanced menu, enable debug mode. Then update the router again. The script will wait at each step for you to click to proceed. If it works this way then it is a timing problem and an easy fix

No, it still doesn't work. I even waited a while and it still said the same message at step 27... when I looked over, the save button wasn't even there. Could that be it?

The save button wasn't there? Now that's odd.

OK turn off debug mode. Update the router. When the script is done, full screen the window and scroll down, take a screen shot.

Let me see if there is something I can see on whats going on

I see the problem! Your router IP is 192.168.1.254 You dont want that in the port forwarding rule.
In my program in the upper right hand corner is your computers local IP. that is the IP that should be in the rule in the program

Update the IP in the program and give it another try.

Let me know :-)

No, the exact same thing keeps happening, even when I use the ip. I tried it in debug mode too, and it still doesn't work...
