OK im in the router and so far everything looks great.

Here is what I want to do. Go into the DVR setup and go to the network setup page. Put a check on the box that says static ip.

Then put in this info.
IP: 192.168.2.250
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.2.1
DNS: 192.168.2.1

Save and reboot the DVR. I will update the port forwarding rules now while you do that. SO the new IP for the DVR is going to be 192.168.2.250

Ok, still not working. I am wondering if your ISP is blocking port 80. One way to find out :-)

In the DVR change the http port from 80 to 82. Save and reboot the DVR. I will update the port forwarding rule in your router now

Bingo! That was the trick. Your ISP is blocking port 80. When I connect on port 82 it comes right up

http://xx.xx.xx.xx:82/

I removed your IP. But it does work, I have the lorex client up right now in internet explorer.

Go ahead and confirm your good to go and I will lock this thread

Well you may not be able to login through your internet IP while at home. That is called reverse nat and a lot of routers dont play nice with it.

Have a friend or someone go to http://your.dns.account:82
Replace your.dns.account with your dns name you made. And make sure you have the :82 at the end.

Have them put that into IE and they will see the lorex login to your dvr

Excellent Shane,  Thank you for all your help and learning experience.  I like your pic with your wife, nice job of work-life balance!  Enjoy your children this coming weekend!  I am on my way to see my grandchildren in LA, so this is perfect timing.  Best regards,  Enrique
