Issues With ATT 2-Wire HGV-B
« on: April 24, 2011, 12:13:56 PM »
First off, like it said, I'll state that I have Windows 7 (UAC is disabled, no need to ever run via Admin) with Firefox as my primary internet browser.

ATT is a pain in the butt to forward ports with, has anyone been able to successfully do it in the newest version of their router software? I constantly get errors. Specifically at forwarding the UDP Port 16000 for GameRanger.

What happened when you tried the program? Did you get any errors or anything?

There were no errors at all. I watched it go through and do everything. When I checked, however, the UDP port is still not open.

It's worked on other programs, such as Minecraft, but not this one.

Have you checked your firewall yet?

AT&T is odd, you can turn off the Firewall for the router, but it still does not allow incoming connections.

So all ports are working but UDP isnt?

This is normally your firewall software on your system blocking UDP. It is protecting against UDP flood.

What antivirus do you have installed?

Sorry. I should have clarified that I was talking about firewall software also.

Just AVG, hasn't been known to interrupt anything. :/

Yes but what version of AVG? they do have a firewall in theirs

You can also check the windows firewall and make sure it isnt blocking it.
Does any TCP port your forward work, and any UDP your forward fail?

All my TDC's seem to work, just the UDP's.

Windows Firewall is disabled, AVG has exceptions for every program on my PC and is the latest version.

Is your AVG the free version or the internet security?
If it is the internet security you need to find the UDP block setting (UDP Flood)

Not Internet Security, just the Antivirus. I tried disabling it and attempting to see if it was effecting it, to no avail. :/

Ok good
I want you to enable the windows firewall. Then try my port tester again.

If it still doesn't work then I will want to make sure the rules are done right. I am sure they are since you got TCP ports working, but I need to make sure I am not missing anything
