Usually 192.168.0.1 is going to the IP address of your router, not something connected to it. So first off, can you go into the network settings of your DVR and double check what IP it has? After you can verify that, then you need to make sure that the port forwarding rule is pointing to that IP.

The port tester is going to fail no matter what because it is testing to see if a port is open to your computer. Since you are opening a port for your DVR then the test is going to fail. What you can do though is open up a random port to your computer just for testing and if that works then as long as the rule is correct for the DVR then you'll be fine.

What is the local IP of your router? 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.254?

Use the IP of the DVR - 192.168.0.8

Update the port forwarding rules to point to it

When on the same network as the dvr you will connect to it with the local IP 192.168.0.8
When outside the network and you need to access it from the internet You access it with your internet ip

Just go to the firewall rules and edit the rule. There you can change the IP

You can remove the first rule. No rule should be pointing to the router IP.

Send me a message with your internet Ip and I will see if I can connect to the dvr for you

Cant connect.

I did just realize you only have 1 port forwarding rule setup, when there should be 3

port 37777
port 37778
port 80

Can you confirm you have all 3 set in the router?

Go to the services page in the router, find the dvr service and click edit, see what ports you have it set at.

this still does not work with the test tool.
That is always going to happen since you are testing from your computer and not the DVR. The test tool runs on your computer and therefor can only test for ports open to the computer the tool is running on. That's also why Shane asked for your IP. It's the best way to check and make sure everything is working correctly.

You can add a rule for each port. That way you will have 3 separate rules that all point to the same IP address.
