My port forwarding fails it could be because i have a wireless internet connection and I dont know how to get router id.

If you do have wireless internet from the provider then you might not be able to set up port forwarding. The problem is that you are likely behind a private network already and so the control is out of your hands.

Do you have any options for another form of service?

What do you mean when you say the router ID? you mean the make and model of it?
Also are you able to login into your modem/router web interface?

Thanks for the help guys , I dont know the make or model of the router as I only have a wireless broadband connection and from what I read on the net my service comes though a provider?
This is the only way that I can connect to the internet.

Sorry to tell you bud, but sounds like you don't have any port forwarding options.

Wireless providers have very limited network speeds. And because of that they keep people from being able to host anything. The way your connecting now is the same as connecting to a wireless network in your home. Except your connecting to a much bigger one. And you don't have any access to the network settings for it.

Its like going to a hotel, connecting to their wireless. Yes you get internet, but you don't get to do anything else.

Like I said before, you'll want to check to see if you have any other available providers available. That might not be the case though.

Hello guys, i have the same problem as Druid with the same game... :cheesy:

i have cabel internet and i'm not able to control router of provider. But he told me today, that he is not blocking any ports. So i allowed port 16962 in my firewall and then i checked it by PfPort Checker. And...my port is NOT OPEN. So i downloaded port forwarding program and trying to add port 16962 manually. But when i trying to add ANY port by that program, it every time change that port to 0. What can i do with it? There is start and end port. If i set 0 - 60000 program automatically change it to 0,0. When i set 16962 - 16962, program again changed it to 0,0.

Any help? thx a lot for any advices.

Hi Druid,

I also responded to your post over at the Bloodbowl Cyanide forum, but it was not clear from your initial post that you had a direct wirless conection to your ISP !!

As mentioned by others here that kind of connection typically prevents you from managing any port forwarding. If you can get an alternate ISP system whereby you get to control port forwarding then that is what I d recommend in the first place!

Ferris82 can you post a screen shot of the program so we can see the rules you added and can you also post a screen shot of the port forwarding page of your router?  The more information we can see the better.
