I already have it fixed. Im working on making the settings look better right now.

The problem was a setting getting loaded before the color settings where, when the checkbox setting got ticked it triggered the saving of the colors again before the colors from the settings where loaded.

So a simple reset of the order of the settings loaded fixed it

So far all the buttons and check boxes and such now have the windows theme so they don't look so out dated.

I am replacing my custom tabs now with a new one I am making that will also have the windows theme. At least the settings window wont look like it came from windows 98 lol.

Grey out every option that hasn't been selected:
In the tab General:
--- Grey out the entire section from ""Current:"" up to ""Global Hotkey"" when the user hasn't ticked the box ""Show memory ......... "".
--- Same story for ""Global Hotkey"".

In the tab ""Monitor Settings"":
--- Grey out ""change bar fill"" when the option ""Use this bar fill"" hasn't been selected.
--- Grey out one or more fields under ""(Applies to monitor)"" when one or more options haven't been selected.

Done, but I didn't do the change bar fill one.

In the tab ""Advanced Monitor"":
--- Grey out the subordinate fields when one or both options haven't been selected. (""Auto Run Cleanmem"" and ""Advanced Monitor Rules"")

Move the option ""Show mini monitor"" from the ""Monitor Settings"" tab to the the tab ""General"" and don't allow the user to change the settings in the ""Monitor settings"" tab when this box hasn't been selected. because all the options in this tab are subordinate to the ""Show Mini Monitor"" option. Then this option (""Show mini monitor"") in ""General"" needs additional explanation as well.

I left the show mini monitor on the monitor settings window. To me it is because it has to do with the mini monitor window. And since it has to do with the window that is where it should be.

Under ""Color Presets"": when the user hasn't selected anything then I think the text ""None"" or something like that (""Default Colors"" ???) should be displayed. Now initially that field/space is blank.

I left this as is. The reason why is they are presets. Not what the current colors currently are. When you click it it changes the colors. If this was set to load the text each time it would change the colors each time.

There's something puzzling: when I ask CM to show process information it nearly always displays the same ""Creation date"' e.g. august 3, 2011. Are these processes still to be created on this future date ???

Should be fixed, give it a try

I have updated the setups, redownload and install, no need to uninstall first, just install over the current.

I have also attached a screen shot on the first post so you can see the old settings window look and the new. See if you think it looks better.

I am experiencing another disturbing problem. It seems CM fails to remember the changed color and the changed font size used by the system tray icon and it reverts back to the default settings when I restart my laptop. It seems (!!!) CM fails to store those settings or is my old HP laptop (bought in the year 2004) to blame ?

Much better. That is exactly what I talking when you first sent me the program and screenshots. Just the cosmetic fix it needed.

Found 4 things:

• Under the "General" tab, un-checking the "Show 'Memory Used' percentage in system tray icon" removes the percentage counter from the system tray but re-checking it doesn't immediately re-enable it.
• The ability to "snap" the monitor to a screen border doesn't seem to work on the secondary monitor (except for the shared edge).
• The Memory Stats & Info window lists memory modules as memory chips. This needs to be changed to be accurate.
• The Memory Stats & Info window doesn't show any information is the sub-window "Page File Info:"

That was because it doesn't update till the memory % changed. I have fixed that.

To reset the options you just close the mini monitor and delete the mini_monitor.ini file

The 2 changes are done and will be in the next update. They are rather small to put an update out now.

Odd, shows in my xp test system and when I have it enabled on win 7 64 bit it shows up.

I am using WMI to pull the info. Looks like I should look into that a little more and try to find out what is different.

If needed I should be able to pull the info from the reg.

I should test with my wife's computer as I bet there is a good chance it is just my machine. I'll let you know when I can get a hold of it.

  hi shane  i noticed that clean mem and the task manager is off by one process i had both beside each other and refreshed always one process behind   heres  http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/7298/snap20110308224233001.png pic    but besides that its working great

Yes in the process window I don't count the System idle process, so that's why it is down by one

But if you do the process count on the mini monitor it shows the same number as the ask manager

  yeah i noticed it was only the process 1 that was different    yeah ive got the latest version    i check here everyday     would be cool if after putting your serial number in it closes but if it could restart itself again but thats not a big deal for us experiaced users

Well you only need to put it in once

The updates can install right over the old version.

I noticed your theme. Did the Mini monitor take the theme in the old version, or is it now working in the new?

Reason why I ask is in the new I have it using the system theme for the buttons and everything.
