Looks to be DWord

[Start] [Run] [Regedit]

Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value] // Value Name: ShowInfoTip

Modify/Create the Value Name [ShowInfoTip] according to the Value Data listed below.

Value Data: [0 - ShowInfoTip Disabled / 1 - ShowInfoTip Enabled]

Exit Registry and Reboot

yeah shane i extracted the zip and merged and rebooted  i came back  and start menu was almost as tall a screen i  guess windows 7 64 bit and vista 32 bit don't want to play nice   but no biggy
i removed my  factory image om d drive months ago and i store macruim reflect back-up images there
im no stranger to breaking windows   :cheesy:  be up and going in 10 minutes   what do you think about me  using another vista home premium and exporting the advance key and emailing it to myself you think that will work

Might work. But those keys are no different than xp and vista. If there are new keys the older OS's would just ignore them anyways lol.

I think another thing you should do is a system file check to to be safe.

open and cmd window and sfc /scannow

oh and make sure you have SP 2 for vista installed :-)

Good, we need more of those in the forum.  :cheesy:

I also suggest you add that as your signature.

Expect useful feedback once I properly think about your post regarding reg files...
