Did you update vmware and also the vmware drivers?

I am not sure why your xp in vmware is having so much trouble.

Are you able to ping internet IP's? but not ping names?

Ping google.com
and then ping 8.8.8.8

What happens if you completely uninstall VMWare and then reinstall it?  Does it work then?  That wiould let us konw it some sort of configuration issue in VMWare and you'll be fixed (but won't know what the problem was) and if still doesn't work then we need to look in other areas.   :smiley:
