The fact that the task scheduler wont even let you delete the entry shows me something else is at play.

Instead of wasting more time, email me. We will get on msn or yahoo and I will fig. out what the heck is going on.

Also you said your on vista. Do you have sp2 installed?

This sounds like you are having some Window "rot".  If you can't restore your system and you can't delete tasks then it sounds more like you just have some corrupt Windows files...in which case your *best* solution to get everything working again is to make sure you have a healthy hard drive and completely re-install the system.  If you are using a backup of the OS that you made then you might have a bad backup so keep that in mind.

Shane, I also at one point had the same issue with CleanMem not running and reporting a failure in the task scheduler.  This was on a 32bit Vista machine. It was a while ago and a different version of CleanMem and I either fixed it by turning off UAC and/or deleting the task and adding it manually.  I'm leaning more towards adding the task manually but I honestly can't remember now.  That should help confirm what going on though.   :smiley:
