    Loaded 1 prepared MySQL statements for auth DB.
    Added realm "characteristic of the ancient wow".
    Added realm "Trinity2 Blizz".
    TrinityRealm process priority class set to HIGH

    LOOKS FINE WOULD YOU AGREE ?????

    and heres a print of the world server config

    RealmID = 1
    DataDir = "."
    LogsDir = ""
    LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;auth"
    WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;world1"
    CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;characters"
    MaxPingTime = 30
    WorldServerPort = 8085
    BindIP = "0.0.0.0"

OK a few things first.

Start by removing all the wowuk1.dyndns.info from your host file.
No need to change that file at all from the default.

Also close the server (If it is is running on your computer) and download and run my port tester. Does the port say it is open?

And when you connect to your own server you need to connect to it by your local IP not your internet IP.
But your friends will connect to you by your internet IP.

Lets go from here.

Today is my daughters 4th birthday so it may be a bit before I respond  :wink:

You have your port forwarding rule to let both TCP and UDP through for that port. TCP is working but the UDP is failing.

What router do you have?
Also it is most likely your firewall/antivirus software that is blocking UDP  :wink:

morning Shane

i hope the little girls birthday went well  :cheesy:and your software is a must for guys like me

{man all i can say is its brilliant}

Well here goes i have two routers

The first is a netgear wireless g router wgr614 v9

which both pcs are conected to via network cables
{i think i have port forward the settings for this ok with your cool port forward software
at  192.168.1.1} my gateway

The second is a  Ambit ED8C013.00  that my wireless route plugs in to
i dont think this is supported in your port forward software but sorry if i am wrong

ok so i have now turned my firewall of and tested again

heres the results

ip to listen on 192.168.1.3

80 TCP and UDP
3006 TCP and UDP
8050 TCP and UDP
8085 TCP and UDP

all succeess

now i turn my firewall on and tested again

all failed so i now know i need to change my firwall setting

but as a {dum ass} at this sort of thing do i need to  set port forward 1st router Ambit ED8C013.00 ???

or is this ok now and i just need to set my firewall.
If so how do i find the ip address so i can type it in my browser to get access

and please would you be so kind as to tell me how to set my firewall

i look forward to your next instructions

Kind regards Karl

If all the ports passed my tester then no more work needs to be done in your routers  :wink:

All the blocking is in your firewall software.

So what antivirus/firewall do you have installed?

haaa thats good new,,, i reset my firewall to default and run your software again firewall pops up and i clicked  allow and now all ports are fine
i have to go out for a while but soon as back i will redirect my
world of warcraft game set realmlist to 127.0.0.1
then in the navicat change the database auth realmlist address from {wowuk1.dyndns.info}to my external ip

then start the mysql auth and world

on the second pc world of warcraft game set realmlist to {my external ip} instead of {wowuk1.dyndns.info}

and all should be good ?

 then any 1 else that wants to play i give them the {external ip}not the dyndns

if this doesent work i guess my problem is in the

authserver

LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;ascent;auth"
LogsDir = ""
MaxPingTime = 30
RealmServerPort = 3724
BindIP = "0.0.0.0"

LogFile = "auth.log"

DBLogLevel = 1
UseProcessors = 0
ProcessPriority = 1
RealmsStateUpdateDelay = 20
WrongPass.MaxCount = 0
WrongPass.BanTime = 600
WrongPass.BanType = 0

or in the worldserver

Port forwarding is working and your all good there :-)

also get your self a antivirus! here is what I use and put on my customers machine (Its free) Avira www.free-av.com

You are right, give them your external IP and you use your local. The wowuk1.dyndns.info should work for your friends, if it doesn't give them your external IP instead.

OK first off dont use 127.0.0.1 at all.

127.0.0.1 is a local network for the computer itself and doesn't connect to the rest of the network.

in your config file you want to use your 192.168.1.3 address.

Change the config and restart your server and give it a try :-)

ummm im a bit confused ..lol when you say use 192.168.1.3
so i guess im putting this in place of the 127.0.0.1 in the authserver and worldserver

authserver now looks like this

LoginDatabaseInfo = "192.168.1.3;3306;root;ascent;auth"     instead of 127.0.0.1
LogsDir = ""
MaxPingTime = 30
RealmServerPort = 3724
BindIP = "0.0.0.0"
PidFile = ""
LogLevel = 0
LogFile = "auth.log"
LogTimestamp = 0
LogFileLevel = 0
LogColors = ""
EnableLogDB = 0
DBLogLevel = 1
UseProcessors = 0
ProcessPriority = 1
RealmsStateUpdateDelay = 20
WrongPass.MaxCount = 0
WrongPass.BanTime = 600
WrongPass.BanType = 0

and my worldserver now looks like this

RealmID = 1
DataDir = "."
LogsDir = ""
LoginDatabaseInfo     = "192.168.1.3;3306;root;ascent;auth"       instead of 127.0.0.1
WorldDatabaseInfo     = "192.168.1.3;3306;root;ascent;world1"         instead of 127.0.0.1
CharacterDatabaseInfo = "192.168.1.3;3306;root;ascent;characters"      instead of 127.0.0.1
MaxPingTime = 30
WorldServerPort = 8085
BindIP = "0.0.0.0"

i tried run the server mysql starts fine
but authserver and worldserver wont run

so i did this and changed them to 127.0.0.3

server starts fine i can still log in but not on the other pc

using set realmlist 192.168.1.3
        or         wowuk1.dyndns.info

i also left the {navcat} authserver realmlist set at 192.168.1.3
then tried with the wowuk1.dyndns.info

and still same i can log in but not on second pc, also thanks for the link i will download asap

do you have any more suggestions please or are we coming to a stand still ..lol

I never used the program you are using so I am not sure. I know your port forwarding part is done.
and yes you should use 192.168.1.3 over 127.0.0.1

Are you sure the firewall isnt blocking it like it was my port tester?
