I came to this forum and you back in the spring and had you help me with the port forwarding, well ive had the same settings for about 4-5 months no problems what so ever this morning i played a little bit of MW2 and i cut the xbox 360 off and tried to get on about an hour later(got into a game with hackers) but everytime it tries to connect to xbox live i get the same message. " YOUR CONSOLE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET BUT CANT CONTACT XBOXLIVE" it goes on about your router or isp may be blocking access and to make sure port 3074 is open. well i havent changed anything, after it messed up this morning i tried to play with the settings but no luck so put them all back and still the same thing, now i also bypassed the router and went modem to xbox and still get the same message, i even tried turning the modem firewall off. ???? help please century link/embarq is giving me such a headache......

Then one or both of 2 settings changed.

Here is what to check.
First find out what IP the xbox has. Is the same Ip as the port forwarding rules? If not changes the rules to the new IP.

Next (If your behind 2 routers)
Log into your router, find its wan/internet IP.
Now log into your modem and find the DMZ page (If zyxel it may just be 2 big port forwarding rules)
Make sure the Ip in the zxyel for the rules matches the internet IP of the belkin

ok, if the xbox is connected to the zyxel here is what to do.

First log into your xbox and find out what IP it has. Write it down.

Now in the zyxel, go to the port forwarding page, and in the first rule (The All Ports) put the IP from the xbox you wrote down.

Save and give it a try. Oh and make sure the firewall settings in the zyxel aren't blocking.
