Sir,

Re. TP-Link TL-WR 641G

I had two routers and connected them using DMZ as given in tutorial, while at another location i have single router which i succesfully port forwarded and working file while here in the other case (two router case) after using DMZ scenario seen is as under:

when i press begin to test the port:
i am able to see success "# port is online and can be reached"

while when i press check in the window on right just above this message, while everything is same it says:
"# port is offline and cannot be reached"

also on canyouseeme.org, port is shown as connection refused.

Can admin or some other user guess what is going on! how is it possible? why is it showing succes at one place in window open: success, while atthe same time failure in same programme but on HTML page.

I am so confused and had been trying so long to sort this out but failure can admin even help me on TV :( please or just give guidance.

PHOTOS ATTACHED FOR EXPLANATION

Regards,

Thanksin advance

That is because my program actually opens and listens on the port itself.

If nothing is using the port the test will fail no matter what

Give this a read to understand what port forwarding is and why you need it, pretty simple really
http://www.pcwintech.com/what-port-forwarding-nutshell

So on your computer, when the port tester works it is sending a connection attempt on that port. Well if nothing is using the port to get the connection it will fail.

What my port tester does is it opens and listens on the port for the test connection. This way you know if it is working or not.
Thats why I made the program :-)

Now on the 2 router setup. How did you setup the DMZ? what Ip did you put into the the first router DMZ? It should have been the WAN/Internet IP of the 2nd router :-)

Thanks i understand what you mentioned! Furthe ri want to say that before setting up

DMZ exactly according to the way which you mentioned in your tutorial, only it showed

succes on testing it by "BEgin" otherwise before setting that up in thi sway, it was

showing the port as offline whether we press "begin" or check doesnt matter.

While now it shows Online when we press begin test, while shows offline when we press

checkport in the small browser window, where results are shown. and whnen i am trying

to run the programme that is also no running well means port in actual is not open!

can you please on team viewer ??? it will take 5 minutes for you to point out the

issue.

i am sending you what ips i am putting in dmz and etc. yes it was same WAN/IP address!! while in 2nd router i have not disturbed or enabled DMZ it was not the requirment i hope so, only enabled DMZ in 1st router+modem to direct everything to second router

If my port tester says it passes when you click begin then the port forwarding is working. So don't stress about that

You have everything setup right.

So if you still have trouble with the program your hosting then the problem might be else where.

What problems are you having when you run you server/game?

Good to hear your set :-)

Since your all fixed I will lock this thread.

And as always, all I ask in return...
If your happy with my work. Then all I ask in return is you simply let others know about my site and programs. I do a lot more than port forwarding :-)
Also always feel free to make a post in the feedback forum.
