can't get my username and password to work

when i put my default gateway in web i put teh right username and password and it wont work is thier a way to fix this or try to change the username and pass? i want to forward my port but i can't when i can't get the user and pass to work.

What brand and model is your default gateway?  I can double check your default username and password and if that still doesn't work then you will need to reset your device.

i looked at site tht had like all brands and it showed username and passwords but tht didnt work

Sounds like someone changed it from the default. You will need to do a reset on it to put it back to the default password.

On linksys the default is either a blank username and admin for password.
Or admin for both user name and password.

Slayer, I don't know if you got the user name and password reset but in case you didn't then let us know if you have a 3rd party firmware on that router (like Tomato or dd-wrt).  That particular router comes with Linksys firmware but you can throw just about anything on there.
