huawei hg520s ftp port problem

Hi i am having one strange problem,hope i can get some ideas how to sole it.I wanna run ftp server but when i do port forward on mine router of port 21 wich is normaly for ftp i am getting message that cpe will change port from 21 to 2121,een is shown in list of ports that i have forwarded 21,also when i erase that rule i am getting msg ports now will be back to 21,dunno how to fix it,will be thanfull if someone know how to solve it,thanks in advance :)

I feel like this should be an easy fix but I've only had a few hours of sleep  :sleep: and just can't seem to really process everything correctly.   :thinking:

hehe no problem mate,take a good rest,we will solve problrm later much faster and better with clean head :)

For some reason your router may not allow port 21 to be setup right. Plus a lot of ISP's block port 21 from users hosting it.

So just try setting your ftp server to use a different port and give that a try. Rule of thumb is when you ever host anything from your home computer never use the default ports  :wink:

thanks but some days ago i was hosting ftp on standard 21 port so mine isp aint blocking it at all and suddenly router started to inform me abouth problem above,i will put pics to check...

Looks like the CPE in the router is using port 21, and if you enable the rule it will change the cpe to 2121 is all.
Go ahead and set the rule and run the port tester and see what happens.

From what I can see it seems to be more of an information msg than an error.
