CleanMem.exe is showing, but no user interface
« on: July 26, 2010, 12:48:11 PM »
The exe. won't execute - nothing happens. My anti-virus didn't pop up with
anything. What is going on? My computer is getting slower and slower, ugh!

I have something called MemTubo, and when I ran CleamMem I got MemTurbo
installed again, and then another installation of Sandboxie.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Mary

Cleanmem doesn't have an interface. Make sure to read the cleanmem page and that you download cleanmem from there. Memturbo has nothing to do with my cleanmem :-)

Open the task manger and look at your current memory usage. If you check the windows task scheduler you will see cleanmem is set to run every 30 min.

it runs, cleans and then closes. Takes about 2 sec. It never bothers you.

If your machine is running slower and slower it may be more than a memory problem.

Download and run www.malwarebytes.org and have it scan your system :-)

Mary, if your system is generally running slowly and there isn't any malware on your system then the two best tasks you can do to improve system performance is to add more memory to your computer (go to www.crucial.com to buy more memory and to scan your system and find out how much memory you can add) *or* you can choose to re-install your operating system.
