COD4 Server Help.
« on: July 23, 2010, 12:22:14 PM »
Hey
First of all this forum rocks. I have only recently been on it but it is great.
I have a Thompson Speed Touch 585 with the bug  :undecided:.
and i am trying to set up a COD4 server.
I have opened the ports needed (thanks to other posts on this forum ).
I test the ports in SPT and PFPC and they both say there open which is good.  :cheesy:
When i make the server (internet) i sets up fine but no one can connect to it. :/
When i test the ports again they are not in use which is odd as they should be shouldn't they?  :sarcastic:
Anyway i have disabled my firewall and that didn't help.
Plus i disabled my Antivirus as well also to no effect.

I just don't know why it's doing this
I was so happy when i opened the ports and got over that hurdle.
Now i have another hurdle.

Thanks in advance
P.S I can give screenshots if needed.
P.S.S Good choice of forum script
P.S.S.S Sorry for overuse of smileys  :artist:

Since the ports are showing open then that's good. So a few things to check.

First what IP are you having people try to connect with to you? Make sure you are giving them your internet IP (The one that shows up on my port tester page) and not your local IP.

And of course make sure nothing is blocking your server.
