Modem ports open blocked by router

I have:-
> 1. Modem(Siemens C2110)
> 2. NETGEAR WG614 v9
> Please sir help I contacted my net provider but they dont even know what

When connected to moden through lan cable 27011 port is open and when through USB it is closed !
Further more when through router it is closed too !

Your modem is a router as well. Do you use the netgear for wireless?

If you want to use the netgear then you need to make sure you are plugged into it and not the modem. The only thing that should be plugged into the modem is the netgear. All other computers and such should then be hooked to the netgear.

Then once setup log into the netgear, find the WAN/Internet IP address. Write it down.
Now log into the modem, find the DMZ page.
On the DMZ page put the IP you wrote down, Enable and save.

DMZ is a open all ports rule. We just told the modem to send all incoming connections to the netgear.

Now setup your port forwarding in the netgear and your good to go :-)

Shane i am using it as a LAN router not WAN

LAN is Local Area Network
WAN is Wide Area Network.

Your local IP is LAN, your internet IP from your ISP is WAN.

Point is if you want to use the netgear set it up like I said in the post and you should be good to go :-)

Plus I cannot get any other port open except 27011 !
PLEASE I HAVE READ UR GUIDES BUT NO HELP !
