Shane,

So I've been trying desperately to play Blood Bowl online with a friend in
another state.  I've tried to follow most of your suggestions, I've
downloaded simpleportforwarding software, but in the end it looks like I'm
behind 2 routers, except Router #1 is in fact a modem embarq, and the #2
Router is actually a router, Netgear.  So my problem is your help here keeps
telling me to access my routers, and I don't know how to access my
modem/router #1 or my actual router, my netgear router.  I'm using Windows 7,
on a computer about 4 months old.  Can you please help.  Thank you for your
time.

Nate

No problem.
To get the IP of the first router is easy.

Log into your netgear, find the WAN/Internet IP address it has. On that same page you will see the gateway. This is the IP of the first router.

Once your able to get logged in follow this

Let me know if you have any trouble :-)

How do I log into my netgear.  When I search my computer all I get is a NETGEAR folder with a bunch of file extensions.

OKay, when I type in my ip address in my web browser, I get a pop up looking for a username and password.  We don't have a username.  All we have is a  pin, password, and security key.  Neither my wife or i are aware of ever setting a username.

Look under advanced setup, under either NAT or firewall. See if you see any page marked DMZ.

Okay thanks for your help so far, but can't find a single link in the whole directory that says anything about DMZ.  Any suggestions?

I need to see the screens. Download my router screen capture program and use it to capture the screens of your 1st router. Then I can get it added to the simple port forwarding program and I can see the pages to help you as well :-)

Alright, it turns out you already have my modem on your screenshots files, this is the model:Screenshots - ZyXEL - EQ-660R (ZyXEL Firmware)

ZyXEL - EQ-660R (ZyXEL Firmware)

Do you still want me to download the router screen capture program, or can you do it through what you have in screen shots already?

No I dont need the screens then. Here is what you need to do.
1st. back in your 2nd router get its WAN/Internet IP, write it down.

Now back in the first router go to the firewall page
http://www.pcwintech.com/files/screenshots/zyxel-eq-660r_adsl/017.png

Make sure WAN To LAN is set to permit.

Then go the the NAT page
http://www.pcwintech.com/files/screenshots/zyxel-eq-660r_adsl/012.png

The click on Edit Details

then on this page
http://www.pcwintech.com/files/screenshots/zyxel-660r-t1/008.png

the first one that says "All Ports" under IP put the Ip you wrote down. Save and reboot the modem.

What we have now done is told the zyxel to forward all incoming connections to the 2nd router, which now when you setup port forwarding will work :-)

Glad to hear your all set.

Since your all fixed I will lock this thread.

and as always...
If your happy with my work. Then all I ask in return is you simply let others know about my site and programs. I do a lot more than port forwarding :-)
Also always feel free to make a post in the feedback forum.
