Using CleanMem win7
« on: July 11, 2010, 12:29:29 PM »
I've win7-64

1) I was running with Vista and WinServer 2008:  I changed it to Win7 , WinServer R2
-?okay with win7 64bit?
2) It might be helpful if the "Readme" said in a line "instillation & forget... see task scheduler..."
3) The history says "disabled"
-Clean memory is running ... what's up?

Cleanmem will run fine on Windows 7 64bit, its what I am on as well. Are you having any trouble with it?

Hello Shane,

I used cleanmem on XP and no problem. Thanks for this useful software

I'm trying in Win7 and I have a problem.
The scheduler doesn't schedule. Scheduler doesn't display the next execution date, and so it doesn't run every half-hour.
When I run manually, it's work fine. I think I have admin rights.

Any idea ?
Thank you.

When cleanmem installs the bat file just does the commands for the schedule

%systemroot%\system32\schtasks /create /sc ONSTART /tn "Clean System Memory" /tr "%systemroot%\system32\CleanMem.exe" /ru "System" /f /rl HIGHEST
%systemroot%\system32\schtasks /change /tn "Clean System Memory" /ri 30 /it

%systemroot%\system32\schtasks /change /tn "Clean System Memory" /tr "%systemroot%\system32\CleanMem.exe" /ru "System"

So if your having trouble with yours you may need to make sure the scheduler service is running. You should also be able to change the schedule to anything you like as well.
