RAMMap Test
« on: May 30, 2010, 02:08:13 PM »
It would be very interesting if someone test CleanMem vs a snakeoil memory optimizer using this new sysinternals tool: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/ff700229.aspx
It only works for Vista and above though.

Might help with the close-minded people prejudicing CleanMem without trying it themselves.

Thanks I will try it out. Mark Russinovich is a great programmer and I have used all his tools :-)

I will try it out now.

Any results? Cleanmem seemed to decrease the private memory to me, with little or no effect on the other types.

I gave it a good run through, cleanmem did its job :-)

The ONLY people to complain about cleanmem are the ones who haven't used it. So far everyone else has loved it. I am glad it is helping others.

Thanks again for the page link, I didn't know about that app and that will be really useful in tracing down infections on a customers computer. being able to see the memory locations of files helps a ton.
