So, any chance that you'll be developing something like DNS Helper?
By the way, I am using Cleanmem back again now. After I forgot that I used it in previous PCs. One of them wasn't my own though  :tongue:
I regret I lost the copy of 1.7.0 or previous version. The recent version will only show MiniMonitor for 49 days?
I've tried to use Network Repair too, but it seems just like Cleanmem, the manifest files restarted my pc. After i erased those manifest files, everything works fine now. Except Network Repair, I haven't try to install it again.

No the 49 day thing is just the API call on showing the system up time, not sure how you got the mini monitor would only run for 49 days lol.
The current version of cleanmem has everything 1.7.0 had and those features are still free. I also have a lot of bug fixes and more free features than 1.7.0. :wink:

And what is DNS helper? I can see what kind of program it is I can see if I can make something like it. :-)

The manifest files tell windows to do 2 things.
1. to run the program as admin if your on vista or 7
2. to draw the controls in the program with the default windows controls, instead of the ugly out dated controls. (buttons and such)

If your pc is restarting the I bet it has to do with the controls, which means a reg key or system file is corrupt on your system. When windows goes to read that system file it is causing the reboot.

This is what is in the manifest file.

      <assemblyIdentity language="*" name="Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" processorArchitecture="X86" publicKeyToken="6595b64144ccf1df" type="win32" version="6.0.0.0" />
    </dependentAssembly>

This might help on that problem :wink:

Comctl32.ocx
Mscomctl.ocx

are the two files. Perhaps just re-registering them might fix it as well.

android doesnt need a cleanmem i think ...it has a program called advanced task killer ...it pulls up a list of all the programs running and you can choose which ones to shut down. However what the android does need is a way to remove some of the factory installed apps. for instance on mine it has photobucket, midnight bowling, and uno apps on it all 3 programs(apps) in which i have never used but in fact everytime i turn on my task killed they are running for some reason. weird stuff. you may want to design a program that handles that kind of problem once and for all.

Stuff like that is already done.

On my android you have to get root access to the phone. Once you do you can use any of the free apps out there to remove installed factory crap.

Just google your phone model with the words root access and you will find tons of info on it :wink:
