Troubleshooting Simple Ping
« on: March 14, 2010, 09:10:31 AM »
Hi Shane,

I love the program.  Been using it for several months now and have had no problems...till now.
The system tray icon shows, but there's no window on the desktop.
I can see it on the second user's desktop, but not on mine.
I downloaded and installed the latest v1.0.2 thinking that it might help but, nada.
Any input?

Thats odd. Perhaps for some reason it is positioned off the screen.
First close the program, then in the registry go to,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PcWinTech\Simple Ping

in there you will see Top and Left
set both to 0 then start the program.

It should appear in the upper left hand corner of the main monitor.

Thanx Shane.
That did it.
Maybe changing screen resolutions did something?
My sons games sometimes change resolution, and then 'return' it.
Sometimes I find my desktop icons rearranged.
Maybe that has something to do with it?
Anyway, got it back. Thanx again.

Yeah the top and left is the screen position. So the screen changing had a play in it :-)

Since your all fixed I will lock the thread.
