« on: January 20, 2010, 01:33:02 PM »
Hi! I have been going trough all the other threads about this Router, but it still won't work.
I have updated the router list and I assume i have the updated script you were talking about.
I really hope you are able to help me!

Router: Zyxel P-2602HWT-F3
Ports for CoD MW2: 27015, 1500, 3005, 3101, 27000 - 27050 (Internal error), 28960

Make sure the port forwarding rules have been put into the router. Take a screen shot of the port forwarding page for me :-)
If they have been then make sure to give this a read over
http://www.pcwintech.com/common-problems-fixes-port-forwarding

Also make sure the firewall settings in the router are not set to high.

Thank u for ur answer.
Here is a screenshot of my port forwarding page:

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa267/Mattinito/Screenshot.jpg

In the picture you see that i have opened 5 out of 6 ports needed to get NAT: OPEN in CoD MW2. The one that will not open is 27000 - 27050. It says "Internal error"

I am very new to this so i'm not sure what u mean when u say "Port forwarding rules have been put into the router". I also don't know how to check my firewall settings in the router.

Hope you have the patience :)

Here is whats happening.
Rule #1 is doing port 27015 (This is suppose to be for TCP)
The rule that wont add is doing ports 27000-27050 (They are suppose to be for UDP)

Well your router doesn't let you put if it is TCP or UDP. so the routers opens the ports for both. Well now the ports are conflicting. because 27015 is in 27000-27050

So just remove the rule for 27015 and you can then add the rule for 27000-27050 :-)

SO, I did what u said, removed 27015 and then added 27000 - 27050. But this didn't solve my problem. MW2 still says my NAT type is strict and not open, as i want it to be. Any other suggestions?
What was this u said about the firewall?

Make sure to read and check all the things on the page I gave you for the common porbles :-)
Make sure your not behind 2 routers, and such.

Also the port forwarding rules are pointing to 10.0.0.4
Can you confirm that is the IP of you computer? If it is what does my port tester say. I forgot to ask, is this for your computer or a PS3?

Like i said, I have the Zyxel P-2602HWT-F3 which is a multimodem, and is the only router i am connected to. I have read about the common problems, but I don't find anything.

About the IP

I downloaded your program "Simple port forwarding" and I "Copied" the port numbers from the program, and also the IP.

Screenshot of the program:

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa267/Mattinito/Screenshot2.jpg

The program is forwarding to 10.0.0.4, so I assumed that was correct?

I am using a computer and ur port tester says all ports "successfull"

ok great ports successful means the port forwarding is working.
So take another screen shot of the port forwarding page so I can make sure the rules are good.

Keep in mind your Antivirus program may have a firewall blocking the game as well. What antivirus do you have?

I use AVG but i have tried having it on and turning it off but it makes no difference ..

I really don't understand why this won't work!

OK port rules look good, and the port test shows the port forwarding is working.

So this points to the problem being on your computer.
But whats blocking the game is the question.

Check the windows firewall and make sure the game is allowed. Double check AVG, some versions of it do come with a firewall and it could be blocking the game. Disabling it wont fix it it, you have to add a rule to the firewall allowing the game through if you have the firewall.

Anything else you might have installed as a firewall you may not be aware of?
Also even though the game says nat restricted, go ahead and try to join a game anyways and see what happens. Could be the game simply doesn't see it has access to the ports.
